Track Results in Tri-Meet Against Vermilion and Norwalk

The Charger Track teams opened up their season on Monday, April 9, 2018, in a tri-meet against both Vermilion and Norwalk. The ladies dominated the field with a score of 80 points to Vermilion’s 38 and Norwalk’s 27. First place efforts went to Torri Keyser in the high jump and 100 hurdles, Lindsay Sneider in the 1600 and 800, Rachel Klepper in the 200 hurdles, and Lydia Woodyard in the long jump. Additionally, Keyser anchored the winning 4 x 100 relay with Eliza Brickner, Kira Appeman, and Rachel Klepper, while the 4 x 200 team of Woodyard, Appeman, Lindsay Roberts, and Autumn Gessling also took first.  Woodyard also combined with Sneider, Ciera Barnicle and Isabella Linder to win the 4 x 400 relay. Earning aces for first place efforts in each of their 3 events were Torri Keyser, Lydia Woodyard, and Lindsay Sneider.
The boys’ team defeated Vermilion 60 to 31, but narrowly lost to Norwalk by just three points. First place efforts went to Korie McKillips in both the shot put and discus, Robert Bailey in pole vault, Noah Smith in long jump, and Cole Weilnau in both the 100 and 400. Both teams compete again today at Clyde.
